A government laboratory in Beijing uses electric eels to predict the time and location of earthquakes. In 2005, its accuracy rate was 89 percent.

  • Soooo...according to the link, NASA accurately predicted about 94% of the major earthquakes that happened in California over a 10-year period using super-sophisticated computer modeling, but the Chinese can do almost as well using electric eels?

    Not to be insenstive, but it really makes you wonder why they didn't see this last quake coming.
