  • And now, a rare peek behind the scenes at a Factropolis editing session.

Factropolis Editor #1: "I know, let's make up a fact about a historical figure that would seem really unlikely given what most people know about that figure!"

Factropolis Editor #2: "That's perfect! Let's say that Abraham Lincoln won seventeen arm-wrestling championships before he ran for Congress!"

FE#1: "Nah, we already made up a fact about Lincoln. Let's do somebody else."

FE#2: "How about this: Genghis Khan was afraid of snakes!"

FE#1: "Better, but it still lacks that certain amount of irony. I like the 'X was afraid of Y' format, though. What else?"

FE#2: "Okay, how about this: Vlad the Impaler was afraid of the dark!"

FE#1: "Yes! Perfect! Find a completely non-corroborative website about Vlad and post it!"

    FE#2: "Will Wikipedia do?"

    FE#1: "Of course!"
