Uh, no, the Bloody Mary is a totally different drink. Not even close to the Manhattan.
I can't find a reference that the Manhattan ever had blood in it. Angostura bitters, yes, but never blood. What the dilly?

oh yeah that easy to get hold of and essential mixing ingredient. i have never heard of a drop of blood going into a manhattan...
